Why Replace Engine 312 Now
Engine 312 has served this community with pride for years but it’s aging out of the frontline demands placed on the busiest volunteer fire company in Baltimore County.
With call volume soaring past 3,000 calls a year, the wear and tear is relentless. Every hour our engine is out of service for repairs is an hour our community is less protected.
Our current front line engine is 31 years old. Older apparatus come with increasing maintenance costs, longer repair downtimes, outdated safety systems, and reliability concerns during critical moments. When seconds matter, we cannot depend on equipment built for a different era of firefighting.
Replacing Engine 312 isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity to maintain the level of protection our residents deserve.
Bring the New Engine 312 Home
Ordering a new engine today ensures Owings Mills receives a modern, safer, and fully customized apparatus built to meet the urgent, real-world needs of our volunteers and our community.
Nationwide, fire engine build times have reached five years or more. If we don’t act now, we risk being pushed to the back of the line leaving our firefighters to rely on aging equipment far longer than is safe or practical.
A new Engine 312 means:
Faster, more reliable emergency response when every second counts.
Greater availability, meaning fewer service interruptions and stronger coverage for residents.
Improved fire suppression capabilities that reduce property loss and limit fire spread in homes and businesses.
Enhanced safety for the public, with modern warning systems, lighting, and technology that make scenes safer for everyone nearby.
Long-term financial value, lowering maintenance costs and preventing expensive breakdowns that burden the county and delay service
Bringing home a new Engine 312 by 2027 ensures that the volunteers who show up day and night, in all weather to protect our neighbors have the tools they need to do the job safely and effectively. This is an investment in public safety that will serve our community for the next 20+ years.
105 Years Of Community
